CLARK TAYLOR

Dr. Taylor received his Bachelor’s Degree from Wichita State University, his Doctor of Dental surgery(DDS) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and his Doctor of Medicine(MD) from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Dr. Taylor completed his core residency training in General Surgery at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.  Dr. Taylor has served on the surgical teaching staff of  The University of Nebraska, Case Western University, Baylor University, Case Western Reserve University, The University of Texas Southwestern Parkland Memorial Hospital, and most recently Loma Linda University.  Dr. Taylor has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles in the peer reviewed scientific surgical literature and is an internationally recognized lecturer in Oral, Maxillofacial, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Taylor is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.  He has served as an examiner for these  Specialty Boards.  Dr. Taylor served as President of The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in 2003-2004, and has appeared in numerous national venues representing Cosmetic Surgery, including Dateline NBC, with Dianne Sawyer on ABCs 20/20, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

 

Dr. Taylor was Founder and Director of the Institute of Facial Surgery in Bismarck, ND for 12 yrs where residents from the previously mentioned programs rotated as part of their formal residency training. In addition, a one year Fellowship postgraduate program was established to provide advanced training in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Facial Surgery.  Dr. Taylor expanded and established The Cosmetic Surgical Arts Centre in Missoula, MT in 1996.  Dr. Taylor maintains an active clinical and consulting practice in the field of Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery in both Montana and California, including the utilization of osseointegration to achieve total facial rehabilitation. Most recently Dr. Taylor left his practice in Missoula, MT in 2019 to join Dr. Brian Chisdak in Bozeman MT at Gallatin Valley Surgical Arts.  Together, Dr. Chisdak and Dr. Taylor are actively advancing the legacy established over the past 35 yrs.   Dr. Taylor has perfected the delivery of Maxillomandibular Advancement(MMA) for the treatment Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) which is curative and delivered in an outpatient model with minimal downtime.  He has founded and serves as Director of Surgical Sleep Solutions, a practice model devoted to the successful utilization of Maxillomandibular Advancement to eliminate the dependence on CPAP for patients suffering from obstructive sleep disorders.  Dr. Taylor enjoys uniting form with function, by combining cutting edge soft tissue Facial Cosmetic procedures such as facelift, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, etc. with advanced reconstructive techniques to enhance overall outcomes.  In addition to the above clinical areas of focus Dr. Taylor actively provides surgical care for the treatment of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders, Corrective Jaw Surgery(Orthognathic) for congenital and developmental jaw deformities, permanent tooth replacement with osseointegrated implants, and the management of complex facial injuries.

 

Dr. Taylor is married and the father of two grown children.  He enjoys, in addition to his work, fly fishing, hiking, cycling,and music. He and his wife Karen enjoy the challenges and rewards of living and working in two of the most beautiful areas of the country, Montana and The Coachella Valley of Southern California.
