Lance L. Lerner, DDS, MS
Dr. Lance Lerner received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, his Master’s degree from Montana State University and his Dental Degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He then joined the U.S.Naval Dental Corps where he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Following a tour as Head of the Oral Surgery Department, U.S. Naval Hospital, Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, and an adjunct faculty position at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry; Dr. Lerner returned to Bozeman and has been in private practice since 1996.
Dr. Lerner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of both the American and Montana Dental Associations. He is past president of the Montana 6th District Dental Society and the Montana Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is the past president of the Bozeman Noon Rotary Club and board member of the Bridger Ski Foundation. Dr. Lerner is a member of the President’s Advisory Council for Montana State University and serves as co-President with his wife Teresa of the MSU Parent Family Association. He serves on the Scientific Advisory Board and as a consultant to Bacterin International in Belgrade, MT (a worldwide leader in coated medical devices and biologic tissue grafts). He is also on the Board of Directors for American Donor Services; a Minneapolis based tissue donor organization.
